A lad worked for me in the early '80's bought a Yam 125. Arranged with a tuning shop to drop it off for de-restricting and tuning on the day of his test if he passed. He did and later told me it would wheelie off the throttle in third and do an indicated 100mph. I just laughed and so he gave me the key and said try it for yourself. Borrowed helmet, ordinary shoes, jeans and an anorak as safety clothes off I went up the Bridport road out of Weymouth. Seemed OK, nothing great, then I hit the magic revs with a big hand full of throttle in second gear............., shiiiiit, grabbed third ohhh shiiiiiiit again, weight forward and rolled back on. F..k me he wasn't exaggerating, it was like a bloody rocket and I weighed half as much again as he did.

    Brilliant fun flea weight bike.

Had one just like that. Beware of the oil pump, had to rebuild mine twice thanks to that pesky bloody pump. I went everywhere on mine, even went to London on it. Mine would just about show a ton on the clock with a tail wind and ya head buried in the tank.

    Fat blokes bounce better
