Enduro pro chip I think
That's exactly what it is ..... Slippy Chip or Enduro Chip as some call it

I've heard others say it's not a chip, just a bridge between two wires.
Look in the handbook and it shows you how to plug it in, allows access to the Enduro pro mode.

As above but one useful feature of it even if you don't need enduro pro is that the bike will remember whatever suspension settings you have through an ignition cycle

It's a BMW butt-plug, free with the LC 
the clear connector is for plugging in 'BMW accessories', BMW expanding their market.

The problem when you've fitted it, is, that to go from Dynamic mode back to Road, you have to cycle through two (count 'em) additional settings.

Would I be missing out on anything if I don't install it? As I am always on Dynamic mode.

What do you mean? Mine remembers the suspension settings no matter how many times I cycle the ignition.
