Another one I'm beginning to love is is 'what route?' :blast

Big Paul, can we start a dedicated subforum for tossers to discuss stupid fucking 'what' questions in an isolated environment?

Sintered for the front and organic the rear (softer compound).

Just to throw a spanner in

If you've got servo brakes, don't use the organic pads on the rear. They last just a few months. Crap they are!

I beg to differ! 🤥
I don't go round bends using the back brake, well not on an 1150gsa anyway.

I just follow my previous comment and pads seem to last long enough.

But do you have servo brakes?

And who the feck is goes around corners with them on?

On a 1150 GSA who needs brakes?
Engine braking does 80% of the work
I get 30k out of the rears and 50k out of the fronts

Having my new set fitted in three weeks. Despite how good I've found the Metz Tourance this time I'll go for the Bridgestone A40 Adventure. They seem to be great on the big GS.

Going back to the pads, lots of people do not recommend sintered for bikes fitted with ABS like mine. That's why I was wondering about getting semi-sintered, even though I don't seem to find any online.

I am planning to get the bike serviced by Steptoe some time in August. I'll probably just end up getting a pair of his Ferodo, even if I'd prefer Brembo. Will let him advise (again) :D
