Wet and windy all weekend, great fun.

Two of my mates where racing on Saturday.......... heard 'twas a great bit of craic (as per usual)

Sent from a OnePlusX

Teams of 4, proper race rules, scrutineering. Bike, helmet, leathers and a one day race licence.
I could only manage a 3 person team, really? {here is a free bike prepped for you to race, are you in? -no- oh OK}.

We had a strict team organisation, it was important that to race the thing you should have at least ridden a C90.
Also the new 2.50 X 17 Metzelers needed scrubbing in.
This was thoroughly accomplished see the vid.

Make no mistake this was proper racing, loads of falling off and white flags (ambulance on track). The top teams had pit boards and everything. A moderately ridden GS would have been swamped.
My bike would only do 45 mph, I expected 55 that extra 10 would have made a big difference. I made the mistake of changing into first at the top corner and got rear ended.
He went down I pressed on.

Proper slippy out there, fair play to Mary doing wet laps. Nice and steady and she had the best seat in the house to watch the antics.
Watch some of them lads go.

Prize giving and a well earned pint. We stayed in Mondello Sat night so could relax and have a few scoops.
Great people running Mondello.
Team Amadán got one of the "Cheating Bastards" awards, a very proud moment.
(Ed Byrne the organiser caught all 3 team Amadán members in the cafe during a particularly heavy rain storm).

Brilliant. As you say, real racing. And in real Irish sunshine too!

Thanks for sharing that. Maybe move it to the Pub so more people can see it?

I couldn't resist this little beauty so bought it. 27 years old and like new + electric start.
Its nice to have the manual with it. Don't really need another 90 but it will be easy to shift if i decide to move it on the a new custodian.

The day before we were daft enough to take bikes to a bit of a St Pat,s parade. Not the WAW at it,s best.
Wet and windy. I should have looked at the forcast and taken the Cadillac.

Sunday was nearly as bad but we decided to give the Chevrolet a run up to Ardee to pick up the new bike.
I had a good lady driving me (Mary loves doing the boreens in the RV).
6.0 Litres of American V8 accomplised the trip with ease.
