Rare Dunstall Suzuki

Theres something not right about the front fairing. Dunstall fairings were usually bigger and came back to the tank eg like the new R9t roadster thing. Ive never seen a GT550 dressed like this, could be rarer than a rare thing!

That's not an original Dunstall, looks like a basic 550 gt painted up and a cockpit fairing added.

It’s got wheels from the early GS bikes do could be a bit of a period hybrid.
It might even have Dunstall plastic but without documentation it’s just another Bitsa.
Allspeed made spannies for the 750 which gave a considerable power boost. Any versions for the smaller triples would be extremely rare to non existent.

Pretty sure that just has a Dunstall seat and tank cover and cockpit fairing. Apart from the wheels it looks pretty standard otherwise...

The early GS bikes used those cast wheels. The final model 185 had the same style wheels. The GT550 could have been swapped for GS550 wheels back in the late 1970s.

In spite of that it didn’t stop the buyers buying though.
Kawasaki at the time had the name for mad performance but their larger triples only survived by running the middle pot rich. At normal mixture they’d have seized up.

The H1 500 made 60hp
Suzuki GT550 made 53. Not “that” much less considering Kawasaki’s reputation for balls out power.
