A few hours a few afternoons in the garage on the bike lift when the weather allowed my hands & arms to work..
And you end up with a nice old Guzzi...

Rear bevel box de greased & treated with Rub N Buff Silver Leaf paste.

Old period fibreglass top box came off an old Cd250u Bentley.

Deep cleaned polished, new pinstripe & Guzzi sticker.

Plenty of jobs left to do but I think the old girl is saved.
Next is to take pictures of the VIN plate, engine, frame & gearbox numbers. Then send to the Guzzi club.
Once they have dated it correctly from 1979 to 77 that is on the V5C as manufacturers date.
I can then get it changed from 1979 to 1977 on the V5C.
Making it 40yrs old this year intern making it an historic vehicle, so no road tax...
 
I'll be interested to see how the 'silver leaf' stuff stands up to the elements (and subsequent cleaning?). It give a nice finish :)

Anyway, looking good Ash. Guzzi's rock :thumb2

Polishing kit i bought some years ago...
A mate gave me a 420 watt motor, so a tad more powerful from the 370 watt / 1/2 hp motor it came with, which is fine & would not of changed had I not got it for free...
