I recently baught new bike boots and i am finding difficult to shift upwards due to restricted movement of my foot. Can the angle of the lever be increased by moving the linkage on the splined out put dt the gearbox end?

yes,try moving it around by one spline,mark it first so you can go back to where you started from if its no good

There is a link bar that is threaded You don;t need to take it off at the gearbox!

Slacken the locknut and turn the threaded rod until you get the height you want

Yes I know about it but was under the impression that it is to adjust for free play!
