We stopped there for dinner yesterday and it's a nice little town with a reasonable collection of cafes down by the marina where you can easily lose a couple of hours.

Just in case you're wondering where the hell it is it's about midway between Le Havre and Dieppe so if you're well ahead of schedule on your way to catch a ferry you've now got a new place to visit.

Want more than a bite to eat and a beer? There's enough to kill another hour or two if you fancy exploring a bit more than just the marina area.

The little hotel on the hill is very nice

Plenty bars, bistros, restaurants as has been said, and every year they have a huge Catamaran/Trimaran event which makes the town very lively.

A great place which is generally missed by those heading for/from channel ports.

.. and if you fancy some extremely good fish and chips, go for the Barbican (alongside the fishing boats). Tony, and English chef, makes some of the best fish & chips you'll find.

We stayed here on the the return leg of our Channel Islands trip earlier this year, based on this recommendation (thanks). It was a lovely hotel and we also had a good meal in their restaurant. They let us take the bike into the large courtyard overnight. Although we didn't bother with the town itself we had a good walk around the top of the cliffs and the WW2 bunkers. Great views and highly recommended.
