anyone owned a 2008 690 smc. advice needed.

have been looking for a supermoto, never owned one but always wanted one, just going to be used on sundays around the lanes. started to look at the bmw g450x in moto guise but after riding one today i immediately thought that i would need a bit more guts on the road.. i have ridden a few other 450 motos and felt the same , so now have decided to buy a 690 , budget allows for an early one, any specific problems i should look for ?

Mine was a 2008, the only thing that failed was the fuel pump, other than that it was faultless.
I now have a 2013 690 Enduro R and I can tell you that that is a much better all round bike, the suspension is much more suitable for real world roads and you can always go off road also.
Both feel like hooligan machines!!
