Radiator cap removal

I know this sounds lame but I can't remove the radiator cap on my 2009 x country.

It will turn 90 degrees but then will not lift off. As far as I can see there are no slots in the plastic to allow the metal tangs on the cap to pass through to enable removal. I do not want to force it off as it would damage either the radiator or the cap.

Any constructive comments would be much appreciated.

I think they are all the same on the G650x's. From memory, when you have turned it anticlockwise as far as it will go, you need to press down on it (often quite hard) to get it to turn the final bit. Should then come off (can be a bit stiff to get off)

Thanks for that. Yes, had to press very hard and it was quite difficult to remove.
