After almost tipping the Dakar over while on an adverse camber car park last week, I need to do something prevent me getting trapped under the bike as the thing almost turned turtle when I tried to get off it due to the crazy angle of the side stand and getting my boot heel stuck in the grab rails. Painful & embarrasing! Stripped it all down and again, piss poor engineering from BMW relying on a threaded bolt with a spacer thats already a very sloppy fit and worn internally. Looked at the Kiwi Solution, but the difficulty is locating a shanked countersunk hex bolt in the UK. Anyone addressed this issue and how was it done?

I usually, cut some suitable thickness shim stock in the shape of a flat washer and it takes out the side to side play.

Easy Fix! Buy a 25mm Ice Hockey Puck off Ebay, drill 2 holes in the side stand foot, 2 self tapping screws. Jobs a good 'un!
