No wonder life expectancy is less up north eating that rubbish. I personally think it totally unfair that tax paying (gravy free) Southerners have to pay their national insurance and tax to fund northern hospitals for patients that have self inflicted problems caused through a diet of chips and gravy.

Putting gravy on chips is the work of the devil.
But curry (chip shop curry) on chips is a gastronomic delight. Especially when accompanied with a jumbo sausage.

Chips should be eaten with a little bit of salt, and a lot of mayonnaise... and that’s it!

Went for an impromptu night out last week and bumped into a few mates who joined us. Decided to eat at a pub that has just been refurbished, not only the building but also the chefs and the menu. Quite a few tempting items on the menu, but I chose steak pie and chips purely because I would get gravy with it.

Other half is a complete foodie and excellent cook, however if she only has to feed herself she will usually make chips, cheese and gravy. That well known Canadian delicacy

Will give that a go at the TT this year; along with the cream teas at bride; another tradition.
