The Hyper has fully adjustable Ohlins front and back and although it seemed good straight out of the box so to speak i felt it really needed setting up properly for a man of my lithe athletic shape !

Now being a mechanical numpty and getting all confusled with compression, rebound and damping, well aware of the potential to make things far worse i took a trip to an Ohlins expert.

This expert was in Barnsley of all places and called Mick Grant racing.

I rolled up this morning and after various twiddlings and measurings and bouncing about i rode out 40 minutes later with a transformed bike

I can recommend these blokes as knowing what they are up to ( Ohlins dealer of the year a couple of times apparently)

Great place and if you have Ohlins and live oop north well worth the 30 quid :clap

Never experienced an Ohlins suspended bike, and always wondered how much plusher/better it would be. As the value of my bike is busy plummeting due to the 'high' mileage I might well go the Ohlins route rather than changing it (shock and fork cartridges on 899).

Off to google...

Did it need much twiddling?

Quite a bit of preload winding off as I am a light weight then rebound and compression also wound down

He said that Ducati have basically set it at the factory to go straight to track which is no use at all on a road way too hard and aggressive

thanks for the heads up Rick, will take the GS up in next few weeks for a full set up after i fit the Ohlins shocks next week..i think it will be more expensive because of the location of the front shock but well worth it:thumby:

Just tried ringing them Rick....is it Mick Gardener and not Mick Grant?
