The Hypermotard is in for its 600 mile service and the fitting of the Termignoni race system
I have on loan a 950 multi and my thoughts on it are
it has the same engine as the hyper but it has very different characteristics the fueling is spot on and very smooth power delivery ( the Hyper is a bit snatchy at low speeds and i am assured the race map that comes with the termi will sort that)
It is as fast as you need
The suspension seems pretty plush and decent although if it were mine i would stiffen it up a bit
A very easy bike to ride and easy to push it along at a very good lick indeed
The one I have has the low seat and for me even at 5'8" it is too low, cramping my knees up a bit although it is the first bike in a long time that i can flat foot with both feet.
at 100 mph plus it felt a little unstable but i put that down to the tyres and suspension being a bit too soft as mentioned.
All in all it is a lot of bike for the money at under 11K without haggling !!
Anyone considering a multi should try one before automatically thinking of the 1200 as it certainly is not under powered.
All that said if it were me buying a multi i would get the 1200 just because it is the 1200
