When i refit my refurbed FD,

any ideas which grade threadlock do i need.

I'm pretty sure it was a red varient, as standard

You might find some people recommending to use none. Personally I used some of the Loctite blue (I can't remember the code number, but it comes in stick form, a bit like a lipstick/Pritstick).

If you know it's on there, then removal isn't a big deal and the blue stuff has a much lower heat breakdown threshold than the original.

Red is pretty much permanent and will not release without heat. Fine for internal threads but OTT elsewhere.

I use Loctite blue (medium) on threads. So far no problems.

Where are you going to use it? I have done a good few FD and never needed it. Those bikes have gone on to do thousands of miles with nothing dropping off.

FD lower pivot mount - i think its 100Nm

I fitted a new sleeves and bearings assembly as the original was totally shagged d/t minimal grease. A dab of Loctite blue, torqued as it says in the book and job was a goodun.
