Rev counter missing

Thread resurrection

It’s plug and play and here you go, fitted to my Turban, with a short vid cycling through the functions.

Only pisser is my Wunderlich Screen won’t fit now as the brackets sit onboard and don’t leave room for a dual clock setup.

From the front, nothing shows outside of the stock cowl

And a short video of the clocks and functions

How much? Ya know, just out of interest??

Easy job, on the Turban you have to pop the cowl off, undo the old bracket from under the top yolk. Fit clocks to new bracket, plug in, no coding required, screw the clock bracket back to the yolk, refit the cowl.

Even easier on a Scrambler or a Pure as there is no cowl to remove.

Retail price was £447 but it is plug and play, the connector is taped up just under the tank. I got a bit of discount on that.

The right hand display is controlled by just pressing the menu button down.

Nice and simple, and despite the cost and the nature of the bike (nice and simple), it is nice to see that tacho needle swing round and see a big feck off N for neutral

oh well another thing on my ever going list :thumb

By the time I’ve finished, the SX will have cost as much as a GS TE....

Eyeing up the Wilbers +70mm suspension kit - rear shock, and fork stanchons and internals.... only £1,800.......

It would look pretty epic on that setup though

Hi Guys, finally got all the bits, fitted this afternoon, took less than a couple of hours easy work & that included cleaning the parts you normally can’t get to.. total cost a tad over £400 (I think)
One thing to point out I believe the slightly newer bikes have changed the top yoke, there may be more than 1 twin mounting bracket available.

I'm missing the rev counter on my Urban.. I know I like this bike for it's simplicity & basics, but it's TOO basic, got a list from dealer today as I spotted the Racer had a twin set up..

Anyone done this ?

Yep, put a rev counter on my wife’s Pure. I only done it for a purpose of gear indicator as she is a new rider.

Here is the list I had. It is however missing s metal staple type clip you will need to hold lead from tachometer within new twin bracket.

Part list for installing tachometer on R nine T

Is it really plug & play?

I wouldn't b surprised if the dealer has to plug your bike in to tell it that the rev counter is there

It is indeed, the lead is already there and loosely clipped to the frame on the right (as you sit) under the tank. Clip, screw and voila, no need to plug into mothership etc.

I'd be interested to know the final parts cost if you go ahead Phil.

From memory around £350. I done fitting myself. Took around an hour and a half but I was at same time fitting Dart screen to which was fiddly.

Yes indeedee, totally plug and play, my vid above runs through the functions of the Rev counter.

New rear shock next for me, this reminds me of my old ZXR750

New rear shock, sounds interesting, maybe a multi deal in the making, I’m sure I can fit my own so supply only

When I removed he metal clip earlier I though crap need another one, BUT the new bracket came with cable tie hangers instead of metal clip, maybe it’s changed as heard of reports of cables getting chafed.
