I've just taken trip up to Gaucin on the A-377 from Sabinllas/Manilva. I last went a year ago when it was one of the most deteriorated, potholed, bumpy and subsided roads I'd ever been on. It's an interesting, typically twisty Spanish mountain road not far from the coast, but it was like a tarmac'd tank track and was the main reason putting me off regularly visiting what is a lovely village.

The great news is the road has finally been repaired and fully resurfaced along it's entire length from the coast up to Gaucin and I reckon it's now one of the smoothest roads I've ever been on. It's a real hoot to ride now and a makes a good alternative leg on the route to/fromRonda and the southern coast.

Ha ha know it well. However I do find Gaucin a strange old place. Better to carry on through the mountains to Ronda :thumb
