Not a RR just a bit of info about Dublin.
A great location is:
Camac Valley Camping, It's municipal and open 365 year round.
The place is spotless, ample room for tents, kitchen and reading \ wifi rooms.
The nearest pub would be about 3km and an easy walk. All the Clondalkin takeaways deliver to the gate.
This location is great for discovering Dublin, an easy spin into the city canter and also a regular bus route.
Parking a motorcycle is not a problem in Dublin, all fairly informal. Park anywhere as long as you have some common sense.
I usually park outside Bruxelles always bikes there. I would regard Dublin city centre safe enough for bike parking.

This location is perfect for riding the Dublin mountains. We got 17.5c in October.

About the R1200RT, we are getting on really well with it.
We needed this twisty road weekend to get familiar with the handling of the heavier bike compared to the 16 GSA.

BTW, I discovered a way to make the R1200RT feel small, light and nimble.:D

Take one of these out for an hour.
The 6 is a magnificent beast, a sublime ride that does everything well as long as the wheels are rolling.
Once stopped it is a massive lump, every time I ride one I think I want one but the thing is just too heavy.
Getting back on the RT it felt like a toy.
I love the heated seats on the RT and the electric screen, a couple of goodies that should be an option on the GSA.

Thanks for reading.

Nice photos :thumb2

That side stand was a bit close to the edge of the footpath

Just be carefull when parking on footpaths the rows of lumpy stuff are for blind and visualy impaired people to follow as its tactile. Parking across it is not a good idea. Nice photos. JJH

I thought I would see you at Laragh Sunday morning along will all the other XR1000 fly boys.

Nah, only got the bike back Sunday afternoon after her week in the Pyrenees :thumb
