Looks fantastic

So long as it's light and totally bonkers like the current 690 it'll be one of the best bikes on the market.

My 690 Duke puts a huge smile on my face every time I ride it and if this is even better I can't wait.

Bit of a let down in the flesh.

Completely agree. The standard can looks awful in the flesh and its lost some of the aggressive styling of the pre pro bike.

Looks pretty promising , £8500 before you start buying bits is a bit of a shocker though it’s similar to some of the competition

I thought it was quite competitive. It’ll only need an Akra.Sorted.

But the R will be out next year ,as Rick says.

Yes it is in comparison to the triumph and the 09sp , doesn’t seem that long ago the MT07 was 6k , though I guess it’s a level down in this company , I like it a lot , though the exhaust has to go

Price sounds OK-ish if it is a premium product (i.e. a cut above the like of the Yamaha MT etc)

A GT Version would be of more interest to me, a larger tank and some weather protection would make it a decent commuter for me and a touring bike for the Mrs.

Fun little bike !
Lovely torquey smooth motor. Sounds throaty even on OE can.
Quickshifter not quite as smooth as 1290.

The 790 Adventure should be ace !!

GT version would also be nice, some people that are not also in the tallest 5% of the worlds population also like to get beyond their own postcode on a motorcycle from time to time.

Had a bounce on one last weekend at Colwyn Bay, the quality seemed a notch down on the bigger bikes, almost built down to a price, there was an 08 990SD in as well that seemed much more of a quality item.

Would love a go on one if this flipping weather ever clears up

Mine was supposed to arrive last week but has now been put back to next. Hope it’s as good as all the reviews say it is.

I doubt he'll be doing that anytime soon

I bumped in to him at Premier this afternoon and all he said about the 790 is that it was "OK"

They had about six brand new (grey) ones sat outside the door. Not all of them were SOLD

Quite a few people waiting for an orange one apparently

Test Ride booked for Tuesday while my T-Max is being MOT'd :D

Yep, took one out for an hour. Was alright. I’m probably not doing it justice as I was on limited time, and my back is causing big problems at the moment so couldn’t really enjoy it, but a longer test ride on a bike that’s already been run in (the one I rode had 0 miles on the clock) would probably be a different story.
