Hi all,

my just purchased 1150gs has come with purple hyperpro progressive springs. One of the previous owners has met me and told me that these springs lower the bike by some 20mm. However I am not sure that this is the case given the stance of the bike while on the side stand.

1. Are the hyperpro progressive springs improved over stock?
2. how can i verify the version of hyperpro springs which I have please?

I had hyperpro springs on the front of an FJR 1300. I have found progressive springs much better than standard straight wound ones. They are softer on small deflections and get progressively stronger the more they are deflected. Makes for a much more comfortable ride. I had a Hyperpro shock on the rear and it was excellent.

Had another thought. When I had a problem with adjusting the rear shock (sent with wrong C spanner) I phoned the factory. They could not have been more helpful. They speak english. They should be able to give you the lengths/specs of their springs.
