I thought this ride report may be of some interest and have enjoyed other ride reports on here. I’ve only been on UKGSER for a few months and am too lazy to type out the whole report again so have posted a link to another forum where the report is. Apologies if this is frowned upon. Moderator please feel free to kick my arse and delete if I’ve done the wrong thing.

Many thanks for the positive feedback, glad you've enjoyed the report.

Just read the whole report:thumb2 fabulous write up and great pics:)

We left our bikes in Ulaan Bataar in August 2016 after our trip from Magadan, and actually, we met Zimi too:D He lost his documents on the Old Summer Road and we found them a week later:thumb

We're heading to Mongolia to pick up our bikes in July, so finding this post was fab:bounce1 we'll be heading back into Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. At the moment the plan is to leave the bikes in Bishkek, ready for next year's adventure:aidan

Thanks for the posts and photos:clap

Hey your trip sounds brilliant, spaced over a couple of years as well. Any links to your reports please? I think I may have picked up some of your stuff on FB but not sure.

If you need any contacts in Bishkek I have a really good contact who speaks great English. He took me to the best mechanic in town who got my rad fixed and also introduced us to the local bike scene as per my report. I'm sure Sergei could arrange storage there as well.

I think we have Sergei's details, Gary left his 4 x 4 with him in Bishkek after our trip. You possibly did see some on FB alright:p
The ride reports are on here, http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showth...-on-the-Road-of-Bones-Old-Summer-Road-Siberia and http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php/453370-Top-of-the-World-a-trip-to-the-Andes;)

Is there anywhere that is a 'must see' in your opinion? Thank you:thumb2

Thanks for the links, I’ll have a good read. As for must see, the highlight of my trip was thePamir region of Tajikistan. The Wakkan Corridor and the Bartang Valley, absolutely stunning scenery and riding but also the worst food!

I loved places like Bukhara on the Silk Road in Uzbekistan for the architecture. The Aral Sea (or lack of sea) was very thought provoking as well.

Enjoy the rest of your trip and stay safe
