Just got home from a cold wet and snowy trip to collect my new to me F700GS and the temperature was flashing all the way home on the 30 mile ride at between 15 and 20 degrees, is this normal ?

I can see no reference to it in the handbook.
TIA

They flash with temperatures under 5C to warn the rider of the possibility of ice.

I could not see if it was Centigrade or Fahrenheit as it was horrendous weather just that it was between 15 and 20 and flashing for the whole 30 odd mile journey.
Thank you for your reply, I was thinking I had purchased trouble.

Could this actually be displaying 1.5 to 2.0 degrees?
The reference to cold wet and snowy leads me to this thought.
In which case, the temperature does start flashing from 3.5 and down.
But what do I know, having sold the 650 in April.

Correct Bem. I have a had a good look around the bike after work today and that is exactly what it is. Thank you.
