Some like to apply the brain power before they start hacking things off and bolting bits on.
But then if they did most would just leave them alone ----------.

Blue frame, white plastics, ally tank. Hoping to hear from Paul this week re the re shaped tank. Original dolly was too big...

I think we'll all have a different colour then!

Looking forward to yours and Magnon's moving forward. :thumb2

That looks great. Just needs varnishing now to finish it off.

I think that's pretty much spot on.

Cheers David, just re coloured the tank to remove the holes....

Nice work Colin, can I have mine in a different colour?

Hows the full lock clearance?

Yes you may, but wait till you see it. Paul’s workmanship is excellent, you may want to leave it on show. Still wondering what style of filler cap to use, outside thread is easier to work with....any suggestions welcome.
Paul will be starting the tanks next week. Checked the steering lock, all good.

Thought you were going with the monza?

We used an alloy ktm one on tufts bike, available in any colour or could be polished,
Chris did say the thread was a bugger to cut though as it was a very course pitch as it was originally destined for a moulded plastic tank.
I recall Paul mentioning cutting a course thread being challenging:comfort

Just a thought,

If anyone reading this would like one of these tanks, shout up.:thumb
The more made in the initial batch will reduce the overall costs,
The wooden plug pictured has taken many hours of work.
The next step is to create cutting patterns for the sheet alloy.
Which initially is trial and error to a degree.
3 tanks are being made, which are spoken for.
Any more just starts to chip away at costs
