Secondly if you are really stuck, i have spoked rear hub (story in the above linked thread) it wont hold a bearing but could potentially be machined out and inserts made, its also powder coated black.

That other fella hasn’t been on since the original thread,and isn’t subscribed so making contact may be tricky unless someone reading this knows him?
Could take a look at the damaged hub as I know some handy machinists,
What sort of Wonga are we looking at?

I think the rear wheels are available again new. They are listed in the states http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showparts?id=0314-USA-04-1977-2474-BMW-R_100_7T&diagId=36_0147

Unfortunately Rainbows microfiche seems to have been removed!! so its anybody guess on UK prices and availability. No doubt another dealer whinging about them selling to the rest of the county. Finally get something useful from BMW and it disappears in no time. Wankers!!
