Lads, I don't know where to put this so I'm gonna start here first.

I have a Givi Tanklock ring on my GS (BF22......I think) it was fine on my previous 2007 but I recently changed to another 2007 and for some reason the tank bags will not clip down securely onto the ring.
I need to raise the flange a few millimeters up. I know I could do it with washers but it would look terrible. I was wondering could an exact replica of the ring (without the flange) be manufactured in some sort of resin or metal to sit between the filler cap housing itself and the Givi plastic flange......basically a circle with the screw holes in the correct place.

I hope that makes sense and I await the helpful suggestions.

(C'mon Pat......this is right up your street)

I basically need a flat ring, 3 or 4mm High to fit under the Givi plastic flange with the screw holes in the right place.

I think. The fuel filler hinging up might cause me a problem.

Any clever lads out there with skills??

you could use some thin ally sheet like they use for long vehicle signs easily cut and drilled to suit, likewise thin plastic, but that may be a bit soft.

I could laser cut a stainless spacer.

How thick, 3mm?

You would need to let me have the Givi tanklock ring to measure then convert into CAD for the cutter machine.

That ring ain’t pretty anyway. It’d be a few washers for me I reckon.

No problemo Keith. Send me your tank ring and the thickness you want.

Pat, I figured you would be the man for the job.

I'm after finding a taller Givi flange (no giggling down the back) and have ordered it.

I'll gladly take you up on your offer if what shows up is not as described.
