For what it's worth, and for those who might be interested, in conjunction with MCN and Ride, Bike magazine have released a guide to the GS/A. It's mostly a collection of reprints, mainly from the current year (but with some 2013 articles e.g. James May), short history of the bike's evolution, a buying guide to the GS family, and rider review and experiences with the bike, including a number of trips (such as the North Coast 500).
I think they could have done more e.g. accessories review, a deeper look at the engine and/or technologies, and a forward look. And, irritatingly, the review of the 2017 TE Ex, with numerous references to its looks, was featured throughout using a 'standard', black 2017 TE...
