Elecktronic advice need, CMOS/NAND gate

Terve!

Anyone can help with this case?

I´m making "gear emulator" on my K-bike and trying use NAND-cirquit CD4032B.

Input is 12VDC to VDD/VSS pins. I understand, that output is 12VDC, when D, E and F is not true. Now output stage is only 6 volts!

When I supply 12 VDC to D and E and F pins, output stage is 0 volts and I think its work... But why output stage is only 6 volts when D, E or F are not true?

I´m electric but working on 12-20000 volts area. Electronic cirquits are so mystery to me....

You need a resistor on the output to "pullup" the signal to +12V. (1k value should be ok)
