Yep: These are the best investments you can make for a trip. Spend circa £20 here before you go, and you will have great entertainment value.
Meantime, here's something to look forward to:
The Dades Gorge.
yeah,,done that a few times...cracking hotel about quarter of a mile on left from bottom of twisty.....chez Pierre.....also a fantastic ride over the top if you carry on all the way to Agoudal...bit of piste but easy enough and well worth it...

Chez Pierre:
The pool is on the lee of the nearby mountains, and never gets sun. I arrived, and dived in. Much screaming and 20 seconds later I was out of it. Water was at circa 3 degrees. Otherwise wonderful.
Great Photo opportunity nearly opposite.
You will find a gentleman seated and he has had leprosy. Well worth a few Dirhams to photograph him.

WTF? ............... sounds like giving beads to the natives; Dr.Livingstone I presume. Then, to cap it all, taking pics of a leper for the album & bunging the poor bastard a few pence.

The locals must really appreciate you guys making the effort. Very enlightened?

I forgot to ask

Which bike are you on ?

HAs Lilly forced the Beemer on the trip ?
how right you are.... was going to take the ktm but didn’t fancy pissin about with a chain.....and cuts down on fuel stops now I’m on gsa .. and if I’d gone on ktm super Adv s I’d be back on Thursday it’s that bloody quick. Looking forward to you dragging that Italian stallion out to play.....

Ah ya got to love English hotels......just spent the night at a Best Western hotel on the sea front...(well..the mrs has to be obeyed)..the sort of place where bingo is played and first prize is a Battenburg cake or a starter course for a sock darning class.....I got the lift to the room and in got two ladies...I think one was married to the architect of London Bridge and the other was her mum...ya get my drift here..
Got to the room and the bed looked like a new one....purchased straight from the fekkin dolls house museum.. I would have had more room on the window ledge had it not been for the seagull....my feet hung so far over the bottom I decided to attach a red flag for h&s reasons..if I laid on my side my bollocks were on the floor...(it was a high bed Redrick before you pipe up..)...opened the curtains this morning and I could see all of 6 feet.....then the mobile bleeped to say ferry delayed one and half hours due to fog....... on the lighter side ..I nagged her indoors to keep the weight down in her bag before leaving...this morning whilst getting my shampoo out she piped up “ darling , use my shampoo cos it’s a bigger bottle and it will get some weight down”.....ah, ya got to love em...

After a steady little ride to the ferry the sun has broken through and all is looking good.....only four bikes on the boat so looks like most are still tucked away till the cold clears...
Nice outside cabin although I had to pay a little more as couldn’t get an inside cabin....all full allegedly..!!..total cost return from Portsmouth to Bilbao £479.
Been informed that the ferry was delayed not for fog but a rough crossing...happy days...
Hoping to hit Salamanca tomorrow night but depends how late we arrive plus we loose an hour in time difference......right then,,bar time.

Cheers...IÂ’ll watch out for that around Foum Zguid / Mhammid area...:beerjug:

Foum Zguid.
Camped there in 2005, before they put the new road in.

The garage set of the film "The Hills Have Eyes" was still in place along the road. :D

Usually take pens, colouring books and sweets for the kids in the hills....trouble is, by the time I get to Morocco thereÂ’s only pens n books left....

Pencils from argos, small pens from bookmakers shops, but the pièce de résistance is Tic-tacs.:D

Forry, on the first moroccan "Dash" getting swamped by kids all after his Tic-tacs :D

Well that was a fun couple of days.... Bilbao to Salamanca a nice wet 4 hrs then Salamanca to Algeciras where it was pissin down or absolutely pissin down and blowing a good old cross wind.... a steady 6 hour ride and we are all set for early morning ferry to Tanger Med .
Must sing my praise of the Forma adventure boots as my feet are snuff dry and also the Klim two piece waterproof.... decided to wear air flow gear with waterproof on top and all is good.....thanks guys at Adventure bike warehouse...
Please to say the forecast tomorrow is storms.....buggggger.
Was talking to a Spanish guy on ferry who had been fleeced of 100 euros for not stopping at a stop sign.... he looked both ways and road was empty but plod was watching. Rule is you MUST stop then continue if it’s a stop sign.....
I will now ad a pic but could come out in any position.....

Early morning rise today and it’s looking good.... 08:00 ferry off at 08:30 which is excellent by Moroccan standards.. having travelled many times on these ferries I have never ever in all my biking life had a ferry deck as slippery as this one...should be fun getting off.

decided to take the very scenic route from Tanger Med towards Tetouan then hit the coast road all the way to Al Hoceima... for anyone dipping a toe into Morocco and not wanting to go off road this is a cracking route... from Tétouan you hug the coast all all along to El Jebha where you can stop at this lovely fishing port and sit by the sea at a nice fish restaurant... delicious fresh fish for two with the mandatory chips.. two cokes.. two water..salad... £9.50 all inc. Then it’s a superb climb up the twists where the views get better and better... wish I’d stopped to take pics but I was enjoying the ride so much I didn’t want to stop.... eventually you arrive at Al Hoceima...we are staying in a good hotel with amazing views over the bay..it’s a bit smarter than my normal Morocco hotels but I have my lady with me so I must be good... total here b&b is £45 with safe parking...it’s next to royal palace so guarded very well.. in the evening we walked down to the pretty port where stalls sell fresh fish you can select what you fancy and then
walk into a restaurant and they cook it for you... total cost was £13 inc coke and water...
We asked for a taxi back and some guy in the restaurant overheard and said he would take us... no charge... fabulous people... it’s so nice here we booked another night...
I will now add the usual photos in all positions as they come out....
We left Tanger Med at 10:00 and arrived at Al Hoceima at around 16:30 having stopped for lunch and coffee...
