Mine is the non esa rear I'm looking for a replacement there seems to be black spring and a grey spring type

In the UK BMW warranty on Shocks is limited to 30k miles (I think)

Went to my local dealer today. Shock confirmed as leaking. AUB warranty covers it. New shock please and thank you. What a relief!

The posh shock suppliers expect them to be serviced at least every 15,000 miles. That’s strip, clean, fit new seal, new oil and regas. From £100. Thanks. And now the other one.

BMW missed a trick not using serviceable shocks.
