centre stand stop

first outing today on my 1150gs and notice a slight knocking noise over bumps

seems that since the cat is removed the centre stand has nothing for the bump stop to rest against thus allowing the stand to hit the final drive stay bar.

does anyone make a bracket to cure this ? I assume this happens to all decatted 1150s

Mine does exactly the same.
And still done nothing about it.

I'll double check later but I'm sure my Y-piece has a bit welded on for the rubber bit to hit against. Mind you it still clonks at times.

Your Y Piece is missing one of these. This isn’t attached to the bike it’s lashed to my garage rafters. :aidan

Yep, every decent quality Y piece i've ever seen and fitted has one of those.

my y piece runs down the left side of the bike no where near the stand bump stop, so a bracket on it would not work

I am looking at making and mounting a bracket to the stay bar bracket

I think the y piece on mine has a piece coming down and as a stop
