Are you a Hendon shuffler?

Green? Suits you sir. :D more about that over a beer Micky?

If someone had told me in 1963, when I joined the West Riding police cadets (and at which time, incidentally, I was disqualified from riding) that before I retired I would be riding a German police bike, out on patrol in Germany, in green leathers, I would have had them certified :D

:beerjug:

As it's a drum-braked bike, I assume the /6 is a 60/6 Micky ?

I went from one of these, albeit a 1970 model, to one of these, via various boxers & K's.

When the Met changed the fleet over from Triumph to BMWs they ordered over 250 bikes, courtesy of a retired Traffic Commander who just happened to get a senior role with..... Guess which Motorcycle manufacturer :blast

Mr Gordon Maggs, a total gent, & as honest as the day is long. BMW got the contract because A) Their bikes were excellent, & met the police requirements, & B) The only bikes as good for the job were..........non-existent.
Here is Gordon delivering our first K100. My mate Mike (with beard) is 5'-6" & only appears the same height as Gordon because he, Mike is stood on the trailer..........Gordon was a good 6'-4"
