    When the Met changed the fleet over from Triumph to BMWs they ordered over 250 bikes, courtesy of a retired Traffic Commander who just happened to get a senior role with..... Guess which Motorcycle manufacturer

    Mr Gordon Maggs, a total gent, & as honest as the day is long. BMW got the contract because A) Their bikes were excellent, & met the police requirements, & B) The only bikes as good for the job were..........non-existent.
    Here is Gordon delivering our first K100. My mate Mike (with beard) is 5'-6" & only appears the same height as Gordon because he, Mike is stood on the trailer..........Gordon was a good 6'-4"
