gorgeous very low miles if that is genuine

Very lovely. I had one in early 1980s to commute into London.

Then bought another in the early 2000s and realised motorcycles had moved on quite a lot! So quickly resold it

Came from Dave Silver Honda spares guy,he’s started importing bikes now, apparently the original owner has confirmed the mileage is genuine.

Nice!
I had a DT250 half a lifetime ago and loved it.

Lovely. Nice looking bike, that. Brought back a few memories of days gone by, riding with mates as a teenager in jeans trainers and a bomber jacket, all weathers......brilliant.

That looks fantastic, I had the 125 and175 back in the day.
If I may suggest I would lose the fork brace. It doesnt look original, but Im happy to be proved wrong. The castings on the fork legs were used for the close to the wheel mudguards used on US bikes.

Ring a ding ding , smell that two stroke
Steve

My first ever bike as well!.....swapped it for an RD400 with sticky rings and a grooved smokey barrell..other barrell was ok!...rode the RD400 with L plates for ages!..just stuck 250 numbers over the 400 sticker.

First new bike I bought was the DT100 in ‘77. Wish I’d bought the last of the disc valve TS100’s instead.
Bought the first of the cantilever DT175’s after that......a much better decision.

There’s a lovely 175 on eBay at the moment but I’m sure it will go for strong money.

Is that James Hunt sitting on his arse in the big pic?:p

A group of dive colleagues and I rented 6 of the DT175’s in Cyprus a week before the Allies went into the Gulf War as there was no available transport at the barracks that we were staying. Fortunately we had a guy with us who used to do grasstrack and trials and he helped us make good use of the bikes. Certainly very capable off road in our somewhat limited hands and great fun, and importantly they were light and easy to pick up which was a godsend!

New toys

My new toys turned up this morning, the DT was a bit of an unknown, sold as a non runner, oil tank full, petrol smelt ok, checked the plug which was a lovely darkish brown colour ,so I fitted the 6v battery off my XT500, gave it a kick and it started literally first kick, sounds very nice, I think I’ve scored a bargain.
I’m keeping the orange CT90, but I’m going to register the yellow one ,put an Mot on it and put it up for sale.
