Totally spoils the look of the bike putting frames on It, fair enough if you're on a rtw but otherwise just a mess.

The OE Honda stuff is shite.
Like you say Arsey, each to their own, I’ve just been to the Ardennes on mine using the Dunlops and they were absolutely fineAnd also annoying that Honda still fit those bloody awful Dunlops as OE equipment.

But did you get wet ?
Mine were fine in the dry but lethal in the wet trying to tide over the Hardknott a few years ago.
Luckily no rain but got wet in Peronne in April and again fine, just rode accordingly on my GSA i do however prefer Conti TA2, gotta put a new set on before the Pyrennies in 6 weeks
In all honesty, the only real benefit I’d be buying would be the extended fuel range tho’ and the price to change would be a tad hard to swallow.......but it’s a real hard one to justify.

The only reason I won't bother going for a test ride on one. I've had mine 6mths, done 5k miles and can get 200 miles to the tank quite easily...a bit more would be useful but not worth £4k or £5k...
Come late 2020 tho....
Read the text , they are going to be the quick release type so no frames when you are not using the boxes
Now had I known that I wouldn't have bought rubbish Honda ones, oh well...Read the text , they are going to be the quick release type so no frames when you are not using the boxes

Good point.
My bro has the quick release Givi frames on his Rallye.Need to take a look.
Perhaps I’ll try sell my Bumot panniers/frames together with the 1290 then go the Givi Route with the ATAS.
The 37/48 litre option below looks ok.
Though I’d get the black I think :

There are a few tweeks on the rear light/mudguard area, but panniers will fit. Top box will not though, unless an aftermarket company comes up with an adaptor attachment plate.
