X Challenge Wheel re-wire

Hi all,

Looking for some advice on who's best for re-wiring an Excel or similar rim to replace the OEM?

I've used Roy Thersby to repair a set of OEM XChallenge wheels . He can also rebuild them onto Excel rims using the OEM hubs

I use Haan wheels in NL....not much use to you I guess. However, Talon engineering in the UK is a similar operation. I used them all the time when I was racing.

If you message thor1340 (stuart) on this forum, he knows a guy who works (or worked) in charlie williams' everything but bikes, chester. He has a wheel building business and re-spokes wheels.

I think he has a workshop near tarporley somewhere.

Brilliant. Thanks for the advice. I'll get e-mailing tomorrow. Been meaning to get it done for the last 4 years, but still gets through MOT with a dink in the rim
