1150 lower gearing by changing final drive

Yes it will, if you have ABS it will work. If you don't, fill the hole with an old sensor and cut the cable off.

Note that it will not have the mounting tabs for the Possum Scraper.

If that is important to you, the covers can be swapped but the bearing preload/shimming will need to be checked.

That sounds great just the jib for road work, I used the 1100 box as I was doing a lot of cross country work on some diabolical roads. I had an 1100 RT and the gearing on that was vary good for road work.
