bmw nav 6 sreen issue

Hi guys

I have bought a nav 6 and when you get to any speed around 70 mph as the screen scrolls down the map doesnt seem to flow down as it should and it goes grey instead of showing the map ..it does eventually come back and doesnt seem to have the problem as much at slow speeds .. its as though it cant handle the info coming the faster you get .. has anyone else had any issues or fixes . i have altered the settings on the map detail to normal and it still has problems .. coming back from wales today on the motorway at speed the screen was struggling and more grey than any detail

Could it be an overcharging problem? JJH

This was a problem with the Nav VI (and earlier models) when it was first launched. The processor couldn’t handle the increased data fast enough. Fixed via a software update.

If it’s brand new / under warranty just take it back for a full refund / exchange for a new one. If not:

Try updating the software.

If that doesn’t work. Hard re-set and then update the software again.

If that fails, contact Garmin / BMW

Had garmin on and it's a problem with the unit so going back for a replacement .. cheers guys
