Has anyone fitted a digital speedo to their GSA LC?

To me the standard analog one is next to useless.

What is wrong with the NAV 6 it does just that and a lot more

That's fine as long as you don't want to see the map. The figures are still very small. Unless I'm missing something.

I had thought of using two sat navs one displaying the speed the other the map.

You can display speed on the stock LCD and on the Nav V (presumably also the Nav VI) can display GPS speed in big figures on one of the map dashboards (actually there are several to choose from, but one is bigger). I use the latter all of the time, whether I have a route or not. It's absolutely fine. Frankly, I was only thinking yesterday how much the Nav V brings to the GSLC. I think it would be a lot less user friendly without that display and all its additional functions and data.

OP is talking about the new 2018 models with the new TFT screen, I think, but honestly the Nav 6 is only a slight scroll of the wheel to go back and forward to maps and speed, I mean we do not look at the maps all along the way.

OP mentions an analog speedo, but a digital speed reading can be selected on the pre TFT instruments if he looks through the manual...
