Travel Insurance

Direct line £50 for a year, specifically covers motorcycle touring in Europe, but you need to ask and helps if you are a customer already

I just had a look on the Direct Line website and the annual multi-trip policy says :
• Motorcycling (up to 125cc, crash helmet
must be worn, cover excludes third party
liability)

So how do you go about getting that limit (125cc) increased to say 1200cc ?

You take out separate travel insurance like the thread is about.

Get Going cover worldwide - you may need an activity pack if riding off road - I punched in a few dates, a Europe only trip cost just under £15, same dates worldwide £35 on their top tier cover. They give you the option of excluding North America as that bumps up the cost.

Personally, I have annual multi-trip cover for winter sports / off piste skiing and scuba diving ( as most "standard" travel insurance policies excude off-piste and depths below 30m)

But both my existing policies have the same 125cc motorcycle limit on them

So I would be cautious about relying on the Direct Line travel insurance

What about for trips outside Europe ? On motorbikes (like a GS1200 ) ?
I am thinking of places like Morocco etc
Do the same recommendations apply ? Or are there specialist companies which the motorcycle tour organisers recommend ?

Holidaysafe covers Morocco, gravel tracks but not full off piste. I have bought their cover but never had to claim.
