I’m about to hit the button on one of these, as the front can get a bit flighty on some of the nadgery back roads at speed, and at high speeds. The bike is fine until you get into triple figures, and mainly does it with luggage fitted before anyone pipes up!

Has anyone here fitted one to their 1290?

It’s only 3 bolts to fit it, and is only a 15/20 minute job, but leaning around under the bike right now wouldn’t be ideal for my back. If anyone knows of anyone in or near Surrey that could fit it, let me know.:thumb

Doesn’t the 1290 have a steering damper as standard? My 1190S had one and though it could get a bit overwhelmed at speed with luggage fitted replacing it with another similar damper would have been a bit pointless :nenau

It does, but the Hyperpro damper is fully adjustable

That makes sense. The only time I felt the damper wasn’t up to the job on my old 1190 was when it was fully loaded and I was really acting the twat but when it started to go it was a case of grit your teeth and hold on until the speed was back below the wobble threshold :blast
