My mum once told me

Naughty Ash,:blast
Thought you serviced it:D:D

I could of never got the car rubbers back, so had to leave the air filter.

But did change diff oil when I put stainless plugs on, so it's only done 3.4k miles.
I did undo all the sump bolts to change engine oil/filter, only to find the guy I bought it off had done it, so I put a new gasket on and put the oil back in as it only did a 100 miles..

Look at the start pictures on my thread when I got it. Less than a month b4 I took it back to Mandello.
It looked OK until I pulled the fairing / panniers off & this greeted me ( in piccies.) :tears

Loving this thread, watching it takes me back to the Mk11 Lemans I had and the engine work I had done...:thumb2:thumb2

Just out of curiosity, how much time does it taketo clean the cases upafter vapour blasting?

An old school sand cast engine takes around 4 hours, the drilling’s are fairly simple and generally not blind.
Something more complex can just take forever,if the media remains wet it stays solid,a bit like on the beaches where speed trials are run.
So we heat the casing to 120 degrees to dry it then blast with hp air.

I hate working on dirty Shiite,so everything bolted back on will be cleaned and degreased,or blast cleaned, hence dry build.
Once we are back to a rolling chassis it’s time to take a step back and eye things up to come up with a plan.:thumby:
Gearbox has been degreased,
All of the frame brackets not needed are removed:comfort
