    Portugal road trip October 2018

Does any one fancy a nice little road trip to Portugal at the end of October? It will be a perfect way to end the years riding and the weather should be perfect at that time of year.

    Brief details are as follows:

Meet at Portsmouth on Tuesday 23rd October for Brittany Ferry to Santander.

10 day all road trip around Portugal averaging around 150 miles a day so plenty of time to enjoy the country and roads. We will be staying in really nice 4 star accommodation and will incorporate a day off in the trip. Anyone who comes on my trips to the US knows how I run them and they are very informal but well organised.

Back to Santander for the ferry on Saturday 3rd November.

The trip includes Ferries, hotels and half board and the price for this will be £1950.00.

The icing on the cake will be this trip will be led by myself and Skygod so will be a lot of fun.

We are just working on the finer points of the route but are getting it out there as the ferry is booking up fairly quickly. Anyone who comes on my trips to the US or on Skygods off road trips knows how we run them and they are very informal but well organised.

PM me or Skygod (Gary) for register your interest.

Sounds good mate, we are leaving on Sept 11th for 14 days. Did Morocco last year with Gary and he does a great job - he is also a very good mimic of a Russian accent which amused Alena no end

Now you say! I'm on a Billy No Mates trip from 17 Sept to 3 Oct. A couple of days in the Picos planned then laissez faire.
This space deliberately left blank as the author writes too much pretentious bollocks as it is.

Is that Billy No Mates by choice, or are you looking for company?

I chose to go by myself. I do a group trip in June that I organise and tend to have a solo trip either at Easter or September.

I’m here already! Just done Gerês and northern mountains, now by the sea at Esposende. Thoroughly recommend Portugal as a venue.

Braga? Bom Jesus? It is a religious place but nice views and the oldest funicular car powered solely by water...
Vila do conde is nice small village.. By the coast.
    hope you enjoy the rest...

Yep, many steps,up the hill to Bom Jesus. Braga is ok for a few hours. I really like the old villages up in the mountains. And of course the best cakes in the world.

Would love to but I’m working. Heading down that way in mid sept though we’re doing the usual Asturias base and nipping over the border for a night in Chaves again.
