    I will keep that in mind, could well suit,although I need to get my head round camping and carrying all that gear.

    Mark just in case you have space on your itinerary for a cheeky trip into southern France there are some good roads near Rocamadour. I did them in June, great fun.

    There's one small room in the place at the top which looks straight out over the cliffs, it used to be cheap but grab that room if ever there

    I did the volcano region of France, Pyrenees and Picos. Fast sweeping roads and some trails but using a hotel as a base.

    There is a hotel ( basic) at the entrance to the town call Lion d’Or. Basic but £58 a night, the owner is a biker and can arrange to lock bikes in his garage over night. His wife is from Tottenham if your French language skills need work.
