Two threads the same in two different sections and everyone bleating on about which bike is best BMW or KTM

Well let me settle this

You are all fucking wrong as the best bike featured in these hallowed pages is a Ducati

Does not matter which model

Superb build quality

Fantastic reliability with no rust issues or dodgy spokes, brilliant dealers and the oh so sexy italian heritage :aidan

Only if it is genuine Hippy vegan dust sprinked from the back of a Unicorn ridden by a naked, but for a large thistle in his hair, Holy Spirit

That, naturally, goes without saying :)

I thought that to stay on trend these days you had to get rid of your BMW's, KTM's and Ducati's and buy an MZ :rob

Nurse! .

Ahh the smell of satire in the morning.....:rob

It was slightly tongue in cheek but i do think that the overall build quality of mine is very very good. When i look at other Ducati when im out and about they all seem to be well made without the obvious rust and flakey paint of BMW. I do know that some, Multi strada in particular were plagued with electrical glitches etc but then all bikes except old hondas are the same

The dealers were not really any different and the slight warranty issue i had was dealt with very very well

I have to say I'm impressed with the paint on my recently purchased ten year old 1100 Multistrada. The bike looks almost new, but then again it's only done 13,000 miles. :) I just hope it doesn't let me down.

i agree...owned ducatis since 1991, 851's 888's superlights Panigale's.. still have a couple and all been trouble free:clap

Now then, what have we here? I really like that, there can't be many of those around.

And remember that MZ pioneered many of the best innovations for 2-strokes before old whatsisname buggered off across the iron curtain to sell his secrets to Suzuki.

Ernst Degner - that's his name.

And I thought he was an engineer but in fact he was a racer.

"Degner was noted for defecting to the West in 1961, taking MZ's tuning techniques to Suzuki, and winning Suzuki's first Grand Prix championship in 1962."
