I know its a long shot but , does anyone know the rear bearing size for the shaft drive crown wheel plus the big seal size please , like to use my local supplier instead . not stripped the bike yet ,like to get prepared soon . aka sheene safe riding you lot .

The seal is 85 x 120 of course, as narrow as you can find.
Never found a source of the large shims apart froM OEM
You will probably have a needle roller bearing on the drive side so you should have some clearance in the bearing, not preload.
The shim on the drive side and wipe pattern will probably need adjusting too
You need the factory gauge to measure the clearance accurately - crushing bits of solder is just plain stuff and nonsense!
The large bearing should be fitted with Loctite - the workshop manual has the type.
The machined cap on the drive side can be removed if needed to drive the bearing over and check the end float.
Or you can make up a loose slide fit spacer the same size as the big bearing and measure the size of the shims required from the end float in the gear, if you like to be different.
