Some boots I can wear all day - in the shed etc. and use for going to the shops. Size 47 or 13 UK with a wide fitting. Preferably no laces but hey-ho whatever will suit. Not really bothered about ankle/chin protection, just something sturdy so I can put my foot down With confidence.p

I live in Mustang boots from October until its warm again. I usually by the the lined variety:)

I'm the same fitting as you. Going to try a pair on today at J&S near Chester. They ordered them in for me because of the sizing.
Boots are lace-ups and waterproof but can't remember the brand from last week. I hope they'll be wide enough otherwise it's back to Altberg££££'s
Will report back later.

Edit. Just remembered. Spada pilgrim grande wp.

Thanks for the suggestions so far. The Mustang boots look like the sort of thing I had in mind (reasonably priced!) but sadly only go up to 46/11. The DMs would be OK and I’d be interested to know if the Spada’s are wide enough - width seems to be an issue with a lot of makes.

Depending on what sort of style you’re looking for there’s loads of urban boots about that look more like normal boots but are toughened up and waterproof. I’ve got a pair of Falcon Ranger boots and whilst lace up , they have a side zip which is all I ever use to get on/off. I’m happy to keep them on all day and they can pass as casual with a pair of jeans. On Fridays (dress down at work) I wear them all day and they stay comfortable now they’re broken in and seem to have stayed waterproof.

They look quite good - any comment re. width? some Italian makes have a reputation for being narrow.

Don't go with these boots. They look great but far to narrow.

I’ve got quite wide feet, generally look for a wider fit and they’re no problem - if buying fashion shoes then as you say they often are a problem. I’m a size 10.
Hope that helps

Consider contacting bikerland de for Daytona or head down to Yorkshire and visit altberg.

If you go for the rough tough boot look, Forma are comfy but you need to go up a size from normal.

I've been wearing these for a couple of years now.

They are (surprisingly) actually waterproof, dead comfy for my wide feet (foot) and offer a modicum of protection (steel shank, ankle protection and reinforced toe caps). They also, IMHO, look good which is, of course, the most important bit.

Obviously not as protective as 'proper' boots but a good compromise...................

Reading the reviews, some people are saying you should buy the next size up. What was you experience?
