Fork Oil

It's some years since my K days but you could try 7.5 weight Aren't they under sprung and under damped from stock with 5 w in anyway?

Thanks bisbee.

Going to try 10rated oil.

According to its history the 5 oil has only been in for 4000 miles.

I can just about bottom out on the forks at standstill on the front brake.

Fork oil viscosity won't prevent your forks bottoming out, simply how long it takes to bottom out.

Static dive doesn't translate to on road performance, but does suggest that the stock springs are too soft.

You could try a pair of spacers to pre-load the forks, start with 30mm and see what improvement it makes.

Well I put some 10w fork oil in and instant change for the better.

The oil was black and thinner than single cream.

What a palaver getting the filler bolt out... also putting the oil in drip by drip...

Considered a ‘cow syringe’ for easier job but not at £35

Will take it for a spin tomorrow but seems just right... Thanks
