Sorry if this is the wrong place for this, but the technical forum is locked saying it's made up of posts from other areas, but I can't find any other areas where there are discussions about mechanical/technical issues.
Anyway, apologies over, can anyone help? I have an R1200GS LC I am washing it and found a split pin/spring clip on the ground but can't work out where it has come from. Does anyone recognise it?

I found it on the ground on the right hand side of the bike level with the footpeg, but of course it could have been flicked there or carried on the sponge etc.
All suggestions welcome before something falls off while I'm riding!
