Ladies and gentlemen i give you ......

Just to finish off

A day in the Picos again whist heading for Santander was as ever fabulous.

We got on the ferry which as bloody usual was late rushed to our cabin to find the ladies just finishing cleaning it. Held the door open for us and in we went.
My mate went straight in the toilet and id a massive shit and then started to have a shower. I went out on deck for a fag.
When i returned all our stuff was in the corridor as we had the wrong cabin 4227 instead of 4427

The woman who blythly unlocked the door and went in to find my mate bollock naked drying himself on what turned out to be her towels with the smell of an open sewer coming from the bog must have had a shock !

Any way the drag back from Plymouth some 300 miles on motorways was horrid

The Ducati has been flawless despite the serious thrashing i have given it on this trip, with the exception of the fueling at very high temps but apparently there is a hot climate map available ! It also passed the 10K mile mark on the trip so who says Ducati are fragile

2450 miles in 9 days ( 2 of which were on the ferry ) not bad going on those roads

Tough but fantastic

Buy a Hypermotard and some Ventura luggage and have a proper adventure

Nice one !!

Just done many of the same roads last week .

It gets a bit of a blur now and i need to do some map checking for the remainder but

Where we crossed the Dura river and along the valley and up the other side is without doubt one of the finest roads you will ever ride

We managed to end up at Bobs place at the end of the day having met up with him at the highest point in Portugal ( i forget what its called but trust me its a long way up and the road up it is magnificent )

Bob is a top chap who rides a Aprillia Tuono factory and he rides it very very quickly
It turns out that Fred ( remember him) is a close ( within 10 minutes) neighbour and friend of Bobs and Fred is actually heading there as he has to pay a solicitor and check on his house progress as it was burned down in the terrible fires and leave his bike at Bobs but TBH no one was hopeful that Fred would make it !

Any way some random pictures of the Hyper just to fill some space

Probably the N103

Marvellous....:clap

Picos plus Portugal is on the cards for next year:D :D

I will sort the route out proper and drop it to you if you like

A word to the wise however is allow more time than we had as I am currently a broken man.

The miles we did daily on those roads are tough and I am used to tough days It would kill Nutty

Thanks Rick, that would be appreciated.....but no rush to send.

I'll be ditching the garmin in 2019 and going Tom Tom 550, so if the file you send is TT compatible, even better ;)

I can then save it for when the trip is to be planned :thumb2

2450 miles over 7 days...350 miles daily average....that's going some on that style of bike

To be fair that includes the 300 odd miles back from Plymouth so i reckon we did 300 per day

Cracking report Rick, as for the slight fuel problem, I would not worry your head, the fuel in Spain is cheap but not always the best.

Sounds great.

I keep thinking I should visit the same area on a bike but always get sidetracked so it’s still one for the future.

I forgot to mention previously something which amused me greatly

We were on the road with the bronze goat ( you know the one) between Potes and Riano and were being held up by some Harleys, 3 of them to be precise.

Now my mate on that mad Superduke is prone to hoisting the odd minger and he is quite good at it unlike me ( im a big wuss at wheelies)

Any way the look on their faces as he wheelied past them whilst hooting his horn was priceless but we didn't go into Potes just in case

Nice one and the Duc colour scheme looks ace in that surroundings.
