Painting Rocker / Cylinder covers

Looking to paint the cylinder covers black to match the engine colour. Has anyone else done this / got pics and provide any tips for things to watch out for?

Cylinders look reasonably easy to remove and thinking of getting sprayed black using engine/calipre paint. Hoping this type of paint won't chip or discolour over time...

Any thoughts?

Ceramic coating is better, lasts longer and is almost self cleaning.
